江島神社

"Enoshima Shrine"
        ...was originally a tutelary shrine where the three Goddesses of land,Sea Transport,and Fisheries,were enshrine in 552.(Hadaka-Benten,or the naked goddess of entertainment) is one of the famous goddesses in Japan.During the Edo Period,the shrine was crowded with worshippers,as the Enoshima Benzaiten had a number of believers at that time.Still today,a number of celebrities visit the shrine to wish for their success...

      ...was apparently overshadowed,In fact,the entire complex was controlled by the temple called IWAMOTO-IN (now existing as an inn!)

     ...is the name of an islet,4 kilometers in circumference,linked to the mainland shore of Fujisawa City by two 600 meters bridges.Three shrine stand on this islet,each sacred to a mythological goddess. Legend asserts that 29th EMPEROR KINMEI (510-571)built the small shrine inside the cave in the southern bluff, wherein enshrined  were trio goddesses.they were TAGITSUHIME,  ICHIKISHIMAHIME, and TAGIRIHIME.

    ...In Present Day,,,Enoshima Jinja is made up of the following three shrine and two caves.
(Hetsu-no-miya Shrine) ( Nakatsu-no-miya Shrine ) (Okutsu-no-miya Shrine)
